I believe that preaching should be analyzed so that preaching can be better. I believe this in my own life and ministry, and whether I know you or not, I believe it to be true in your ministry as well. Of course, there are many ways to critique and analyze and watching myself on video is by far my least favorite.
Just for kicks, I did this past Sunday’s sermon, which was from Luke 23:39-42 (the penitent theif) as a wordle. You can see it pictured above. Basically, Wordle analyzes your text and kicks out images. The words most often repeated are larger and the smaller words are more rare in your document. Since we tend the words we repeat are the one’s that get the most attention in our preaching, I believe Wordle can be beneficial in analyzing sermons.
