Do your people gather in a village church to worship a village god? Over at the 9Marks blog, Mark Dever recently wrote about how we as pastors should spend serious time thinking about how and what we pray for during our pastoral prayers in worship services. Dever is right on, that we must be clear to our people, that the God we serve is greater than we can imagine, and that the world that He is engaging is bigger than our particular city! Therefore, we must not only preach these truths to our people, but we should also declare these truths to our people in our prayers as well. Our God is not a village God. Read the entire post here.
